Flagler County Divorce Records
Dissolution of marriage (colloquially, "divorce") in Flagler County is a type of family law proceeding heard in the Flagler County Circuit Court - Family Division to terminate a marital union.
Couples can qualify for Simplified Dissolution, provided there are no minor children, the wife is not pregnant, and all assets and debts have been divided by agreement. Otherwise, they will need to file for a Regular Dissolution of Marriage, particularly when there are complex issues to address, for example, time-sharing (child custody), alimony, or contested assets. According to the Florida Judiciary’s Court Filings and Statistics Reports, Flagler County reported 90 simplified dissolutions and 326 regular dissolutions in the fiscal year 2024-25
As Flagler County divorce records (petitions, orders, judgments) are open to the public under Fla. R. Gen. Prac. & Jud. Admin. 2.420, one can stop by the clerk’s Records Management Division at the county courthouse to request inspection or copying, or access the clerk’s Case Search portal to look up the proceedings. Notably, the Case Search portal does not disseminate images of Flagler County family law documents, including divorce records, as that is prohibited under F.S. 28.2221(5)(a). Additionally, confidential records, such as financial affidavits, are not disclosed to the general public.
